Gram's Birthday and Few Updates

So, I supposed to post this subject since last week, but due to my business I should regretfully postponed this post. My Gram's (my Mum's Mum) birthday was celebrated last Sunday with whole family at Coca Suki Steamboat Restaurant. My Gram is a talkative one, just like another Grams, but I love the way she expresses her affection to me and I like to be cuddled embarrassing. I'm her first grandchild, I spent many days of my childhood at her house, and before I born she really hoped for a safe arrival of me (I should have an elder brother but my Mum was miscarried). Thus, I constantly happy to be around her (I even wanted to move to her house, if only I can). My Gram's birthday date always confusing me, she follows Chinese calendar which I have no idea about :-/ But Happy Belated Birthday, Gram!

Entrance of the restaurant

My Mum's elder brother already booked a VIP room

The room with 15 people capacity, my family arrived first

Never forget to take a pic :-/

And finally the room became so crowded after everybody arrived

My Gram with her children, my Mum is the only daughter and also middle child, my Gong-gong already died since my Mum was only a kid

Me, Gram, and Mum ;)

Yeriel, Chelsea, and Alfredo

Sergio with Fay, do you notice that Fay had half Chinese half Indonesian face? That's because my Mum's elder brother married an Indonesian (Sundanese) woman

Yeriel, my Mum's younger brother's son

Antics? :P

I Have Nothing To Lose, Except One

This post is about my MGMP English Contest last Sunday. I woke up late, I still thought about 'oh-if-only-I-can-absent', and I wore a uniform with a pair of sandals to perform in that contest (Call me insane!?). But, here I should emphasize you all that, I'm not a type of child who love to be preoccupied with any various type of contests.

My speech script, which I made by myself

We went to the contest location (a government school) with this school bus

Between 30++ participants who joined speech section, I got number 26

Another representative from my school for speech section, Nadia :)

Another representatives, there were 24 people from my school through grade 7-9

Grace, Me, and Michelle

Nadia got 16th turn, so she performed before me, she's awesome!

Mine, Nadia took this pic

Time for honesty, I don't remember what I said during my speech :D I don't even remember the script I've made before. When it came to my turn, I walked to the front calmly without any expression or nervousness, I barely know what kind of feeling which dominated my mind at that time. I only recognized it as a 'semi-conscious' condition that I seldom experience, except in my meditation session (I meditate with brainwave music sometimes). And when I fully came from my semi-consciousness, my speech ended. I almost laugh that time, my mind was like 'What the heck I was talking about for my speech?'. No matter how hard I tried, I never remember -- until now -- my words in that speech lol. Today, I was told that I don't passed the contest, but it's okay, I have nothing to loss. Besides, this contest wasn't my desire and I've done my best. If only, I passed, I should face another stressing week (make a script all over again, practice it every night, sacrifice my Sunday, think about it in between my school tasks that weighty enough without addition of a contest). Even though, it's all a pure honest confession from me, I admit that I'm a bit disappointed too! Because I have one thing that I lost..., I lost a chance to make my parents proud of me, and that's a big matter :(

Party On School

Actually, this party was a part of Book-Week event that held during 17-20th of January 2011. Theme of the party was 'OLIVER TWIST' (which happened to be our main story for this year Book-Week event as I mentioned in the previous post) and the dress-code was 'BRITISH COSTUME' (High School and Junior High School department didn't really obey this dress-code, but I sense that Elementary students were too afraid to break the rule). We also had a luncheon with 3 menus, soup, porridge, and sausage. There were a sharing and quiz session too. Too bad, my group didn't win the quiz! Anyway, we did a charity as well, we contributed books to Sekolah Lentera Harapan.

Each student got a postcard, we could write something there and put it inside the book that we contributed

We were pretty confused with that postcard, what to write eh? :S

Cloudy morning, rain fell so hard around 9 AM :(

Another views of my school

My friend, Alicya, one of those who really wore a princess costume :->

Ilona, my bestie, who gave me a Crystal for Christmas :D

Our homeroom teacher distributed a new schedule, I didn't quite like our new schedule :(

I didn't eat any of that, no thank you (I hate porridge or soup, seemed so yuck)

Michelle, Sheilly, Licia, and Ira (See! Someone even appeared like MJ lol)

After luncheon, mostly we were rushing out directly to visit another class lol

Started from 11 AM until 12.10 PM, we had nothing to do. I was chattering with my homeroom teacher then walking along through school hallways because I finished 'Tales of Beedle The Bard' book by JK Rowling in the first session. Anyway, our school announced a new policy, every Friday in the last week of the month, we should wear Batik. Ah, I prefer for uniform actually, I love uniform as always :) Lastly, I wish you all here have a fun weekend! (I'm going to face a busy weekend with English Contest and stuffs, sigh).

Happily

I was so busy during these days. Many things happened. Many tasks came. Many tests are waiting. But..., I still happily did my routine today with a cheerful manner. Thanks God for that :) Oh, anyway, Book-Week started from this day until 20 January on my school. This year theme is TWIST (Tune in Wonderful Inspiring Story) and our main story is Oliver Twist (last year we got Three Cups of Tea). What is Book-Week?

We usually have Silent Suspense Reading time for 15 minutes, but on Book-Week occasion we should read at total 30 minutes per day!

I used this book for TWIST time, a historical romance by Johanna Lindsey

A few famous book-stores (for example, Times and Paperback) also participated, so there were a few stalls at the main chapel of our school. I'm so happy to see many books inside but I should save my money since Dad will go for business trip tomorrow. He left money to me and Chelsea, because our Mama is so pelit wor, stingy! (I don't lie, may ask all people here). Anyway, school is getting heavier now since grade 9 will have national exams from government by the end of April. And the material is hella awesome, so many, should learn through grade 7-9 books all over again (the matter is, not just for 1 subject, but for the whole subjects.)

Few handouts

And do you remember about yearbook illustration? I finished it last Saturday after passed long hours of re-drawing. I also done with my Oliver Twist script tonight. And I ever told you about MGMP English Competition, didn't I? So, finally, I will go as one of school representative for that contest (I got speech section, not writing as I mentioned before). MGMP will be held on Monday, 22 January 2011. But, that isn't the thing that I really concerned, I instead nervous about Violin test for next Tuesday.

We received a new material by last week and we will face a test directly next week

Yearbook illustration sketch, I'll use a thicker pencil before scan it

Oh, I also found this old drawing ha ha ha :D

By the way, on our last Saturday outing, I bought a magazine before we watched Faster at the cinema. But this magazine made me way too excited he he he... Why was that?

Wanna take a guess? Which part made me excited? lol

This one enough to give you all a clue :P

Baby Brother Turned Seven

Sergio turned 7 last Sunday! Though he's the only son, but he either is the only one who never have a big celebration for his birthday party (Chelsea and me experienced a big celebration of our birthday party for a few times). Usually we just have a small family event for Sergio's birthday. But he got a really oh-made-sisters-jealous present. As he wished before, my Dad bought him a new game console, latest edition of Wii. Oh well, I tried to play it a few times every-time he's sleeping. He tends to have no amiable behavior toward his sisters, he wouldn't share his latest precious treasure with us anyway. Boys! :S

We have too many game consoles at our home, welcome to our family, Wii

Had a wonderful luncheon at XO Suki

Birthday guy :)

Waiting for our meals

Shabu-shabu, I don't like seafood as everybody knew, so I only ate tofu with chicken broth

A tasty dessert, Cocktail Pudding with peaches. I LOVE peach like crazy!

Sergio with his ice-cream cake :)

With Mama :)

With his beloved Aunty, Sergio admires Aunty Carenina so much :D~

Left to right, Alfredo, Sergio, and Chelsea :)

And me? I was busy, babysitting Justin who visited us to join Sergio's birthday

Justin didn't want to drink his milk, he was so sleepy

Baby Justin is Aunty Carenina's nephew. He's lovable :)

Only out from bedroom to eat the cake muahaha

My baby brother is no longer a baby. Me and him have a quite age gap, 8 years difference. I don't know why, maybe because of that, he respects me more than anyone at our home. He tries to impress my eyes a lot, I don't merely like kids, I'm a loner, so he often get a little difficulties towards me. But I'm the only one who capable to cope with his tantrum, my parents couldn't quite understand his manners. He's a complicated little guy. Even sometimes he's annoying, but that's why we called them kids. They can be nice and annoying at the same time. Though Sergio had complicated personality to handle, but he's a genius (I don't say this because he's my brother). He often easily achieves extraordinary scores in his school without any hard work, he's lazy and play a lot folks! I'm so proud of him, aside from his annoying manners, I love him :) Happy birthday, Sergio! Jie-jie wishes all the best for you.

Guess who? My newest drawing, spent 15 minutes to draw this.

I was drawing and writing a notes at the same time. Where I drew this? Class :P

Oh well, do you remember Irene's blog giveaway? I won folks xD

And do you remember this crystal? I don't know why it turned out so 'short' :S

Anyway, my school started on last Monday. Back to routine! Holiday was over, sobbing :'( I got a slight headache for the first day of school. I was quite sick. But now I'm okay. And I'm still thinking about my story deadline, do I ever tell you that I'm an online author since I was 13?
