Today's Valentine

This pic was taken yesterday, I rarely wear Hoodie, but yesterday was an execption

Aunty Carenina rode her motorcycle with me to the church yesterday, just two of us. Okay, that was my very first long-'motorcycle'-journey. Which unexpectedly happened to be fun, I like how it felt. I've always been a car-girl in my entire life. And when I got a chance to ride motorcycle, the outcome was tasted like freedom somehow!

Aunty Carenina was staying at our home, we had a great time together, discussing about books and Photoshop :)

I will miss that kind of girls-day-out. Oh, before I totally forget, I want to say Happy Valentine! For me everyday is a Valentine on which we can show our affection to everybody around :)

What I received today, thanks to Claudy, Clarissa, Angelica, Virna, Ilona, Edita, and Student Council section who gave me this treats!

After passed a gloomy weekend, I truly blessed with double even triple happiness today, firstly my Dad just got back home this afternoon, he picked me up from school and I got a snuggle time with him. Secondly I received lot of chocolates from my besties, I heart chocolate! Lastly, a conversation that made my day.

I had a Korean-course tonight. As usual, my Sonsaengnim set a time for me to read some passages before she finally said,

Ssm: Do your parents ever heard you write, read, or speak in Korean Language?
Me: Uh-eh, almost never, maybe just once!*grinning* (I admit, I speak only a little in front of them, I worried that they might be bored since they don't even know a single word, except for Anyeong-haseyo!)
Ssm: Really??? How come??? You should be, they will be so proud of your ability!*staring at me with half amazed and half confused face* (A few times, she praised how well I speak in Korean accent.)

I was happy to know this, at least someone noticed me and opined that I can make my beloved parents proud of me. It's a really important matter for me to make sure my parents won't be sorry to have me as their child.

Happily

I was so busy during these days. Many things happened. Many tasks came. Many tests are waiting. But..., I still happily did my routine today with a cheerful manner. Thanks God for that :) Oh, anyway, Book-Week started from this day until 20 January on my school. This year theme is TWIST (Tune in Wonderful Inspiring Story) and our main story is Oliver Twist (last year we got Three Cups of Tea). What is Book-Week?

We usually have Silent Suspense Reading time for 15 minutes, but on Book-Week occasion we should read at total 30 minutes per day!

I used this book for TWIST time, a historical romance by Johanna Lindsey

A few famous book-stores (for example, Times and Paperback) also participated, so there were a few stalls at the main chapel of our school. I'm so happy to see many books inside but I should save my money since Dad will go for business trip tomorrow. He left money to me and Chelsea, because our Mama is so pelit wor, stingy! (I don't lie, may ask all people here). Anyway, school is getting heavier now since grade 9 will have national exams from government by the end of April. And the material is hella awesome, so many, should learn through grade 7-9 books all over again (the matter is, not just for 1 subject, but for the whole subjects.)

Few handouts

And do you remember about yearbook illustration? I finished it last Saturday after passed long hours of re-drawing. I also done with my Oliver Twist script tonight. And I ever told you about MGMP English Competition, didn't I? So, finally, I will go as one of school representative for that contest (I got speech section, not writing as I mentioned before). MGMP will be held on Monday, 22 January 2011. But, that isn't the thing that I really concerned, I instead nervous about Violin test for next Tuesday.

We received a new material by last week and we will face a test directly next week

Yearbook illustration sketch, I'll use a thicker pencil before scan it

Oh, I also found this old drawing ha ha ha :D

By the way, on our last Saturday outing, I bought a magazine before we watched Faster at the cinema. But this magazine made me way too excited he he he... Why was that?

Wanna take a guess? Which part made me excited? lol

This one enough to give you all a clue :P

Growing A Crystal

Hi, folks, just few days ahead before Christmas, I can't wait! Anyway, last night I opened my mysterious present that Ilona gave me (with her permission, I said that I can't open it on Christmas night because I'll be in Singapore and she told me that 'the present' is something that I may not bring to the airport, so I opened it last night). What was it?

A 'Believe' Crystal! I never try this :) Thanks my friend

I unpacked it with my little sister, Chelsea. We made the crystal together based on the instruction book. It was like a little experiment ha ha ha.

Boiled water, glass bottle, crystal powder pouch, crystal tablet, stick, cord lid, flax, wish card, and we were ready!

1. Place the stick inside, fill the glass bottle with boiled water up to the line marked on the stick

2. Add the crystal powder pouch

3. Stir until completely dissolved

4. Drop the crystal tablet

5. Place the cork lid on the bottle and store in a safe location :)

After 24 hours has passed, we should remove the cork lid and keep it in touch with air. The crystal will grow and reach maximum size in 12-15 days (don't close the bottle with the cork lid during this period). I will post my grown up crystal later, probably 2 more weeks :D

Few days ago, my friend asked me if I'm able to be a translator for her Korean novel. I said that maybe it'll be too hard for me to translate 300++ pages Korean novel. I usually translate Korean articles or sentences, but I never touch Korean novel. So I recommended her to my Sonsaengnim (teacher), after a few days passed, they made an agreement over it. Today I received the novel scripts from her via courier service (she lives in Jepara), I'll give it to my Sonsaengnim this evening.

The novel title is Tango by Gu Hye Seon

Few paragraphs

The author, do you know her? A Korean actress from Boys Before Flowers :)

Gu Hye Seon is my favorite actress. I like her since one and half years ago. I never stop stalking her until now ha ha ha. I knew she made a novel back to 2009 (they only sell it in Korea), I've been really curious about her novel since then. I had a little opportunity to read it this morning, I just read a few pages. I found new vocabularies and a hard grammar structure there. I'll have so many questions for Korean session tonight ha ha ha. Anyway, this will be my last post before I go to Singapore. Also, tonight will be the last session for my Korean lesson, Sonsaengnim will give birth to her second child in a few days (wish her luck), we will start our lesson again in the end of January.

Hiatus from 23 December 2010 up to 3 January 2011
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Bloggers.
 God Bless you all!

Idul Adha

Last day of school before long holiday start ;) I had 2 tests for Biology and Physics, I was pretty success with both two, I was so happy for it. By the way, today I brought a camera to my school since I had a task for Computer subject to make a website with photos that we provided by ourselves. I shot a few photos of my daily in school.

English literature that we learned today, titled A Stolen Party

Grace, refused to be shot but I still got her ;P

Grace shot me back, I gave her a smile :D

Front of my school

School tower, obstructed by a large tree =.="

Outdoor gym, we have another 2 inside and a swimming pool ;)

Another view

Anyway, I'm currently watching Korean mini series titled Mischievous Kiss starring Kim Hyun Jung (Boys Before Flowers) and Jung So Min (Bad Guy). They make a cute couple, I should admit that I'm pretty in love with them now :) I've been addicted to Minsun couple (Lee Min Ho and Goo Hye Sun) for almost 2 years. Sounds crazy but I'm always liking something for a long time thou.

Lee Min Ho and Goo Hye Sun couple, sweet, aren't they?

They both look sweet too ;)

Jung So Min as Oh Ha Ni

Kim Hyun Jung as Bae Seung Jo

I'm on episode 5 out of 16 now, so far it's funny and entertaining. Glad that I will have a long weekend for Idul Adha, start tomorrow until next Monday, there will be so many spare times for me to watch it *evil laugh*. Happy Idul Adha for those who celebrate!

Bonding Time With Sonsaengnim

Phew, what a tiring noon today! I started my day with Physics course then I visited Gramedia Bookstore and purchased some school supplies.

Gramedia entrance

Bought 1 RIM A4, origami, refill ink for markers, and black solid carton

Since I had an appointment with my Sonsaengnim (teacher) so I directly went to Patra Jasa tower to pick her.

Songsaengnim's office at Patra Jasa, Kuningan

Traffic in Jakarta just simply drove me crazy

We headed to Mu Gung Hwa Yutong (무궁화 유통 - Korean distributor) at Senopati, South Jakarta. As soon as we got there, we ran into the 2nd Floor to do our shopping ha ha ha. There were a bookstore, stationery, accessories & merchandise shop, DVD rental, clothing store, pharmacy, and bakery in the 2nd Floor. 1st Floor was for supermarket plus small canteen. And as usual, all people there were Korean since Senopati is a place for Korean community . So, what I bought?

Hello Kitty spoon and chopsticks, made from stainless steel cost 8$ (I remembered Gwen when I saw this)

Set of Goong merchandise that I accidentally saw (and bought at last) cost 6$

Hello Kitty eraser cost 1$

Found a cute Korean statues at Mu Gung Hwa

Sonsaengnim didn't buy anything at all, she planned to buy a pair of shoes for her son but she canceled it (she forgot to take money from bank). When we finished there, she suggested us to go to Citraland Mall (CL) but I wanted to go to Taman Anggrek Mall (TAM) insted of CL. It took a pretty long time before we arrived at TAM. We both screamed Baegopha! Baegopha! Baegopha! (배고파 - Hungry) inside the car over and over again during the trip. So we 'strike' foodcourt in TAM directly after we arrived there.

TAM food-court. We ordered meatballs and rice.

Sonsaengnim took me to an accessories shop, Strawberry. Strawberry has a really girlish and cute interior plus they sell so many nice stuffs there. After that, we were spending much time to walked around TAM.

All pinks! The giant ribbon was shocking me thou lol

Bought 2 pencil-cases :)

Sonsaengnim treat me for a Choco Forest and doughnut at J.CO

We visited Mother&Care to admire baby clothes since Sonsaengnim is 7 months pregnant.

A really tiring day but fun. Sonsaengnim gave me Kimchi before I went home. That Kimchi cooked by Kim Hyang Gi Uhni (김향기 언니 - Sister Kim Hyang Gi). For next time bonding, we will go visit Kim Hyang Gi Uhni's house in Cikarang, can't wait for it ;)

Kemang and Korean Market

Yesterday (Sunday) after back from church, my family and me (except Ma) spent our time together for a small family bonding on Kemang and Senopati (Korean Market).

My church is in West Jakarta and the places we were heading yesterday, are in South Jakarta. So, it took a pretty long time for us before we reached the place. Thank God, my little siblings weren't fussy as I thought they would be.

My Dad drove the car

Chelsea, my lil' sis, played a slight magic trick with those papers

Sergio, my lil' bro, just enjoyed his time with his friend, PSP

I was hearing songs from my cellphone and soon we arrived on Kemang, everybody were starving that time, so my Dad suggested us to eat at the nearest cafe, Teras Kafe. However, I instantly declined his decision since I wanted to discover more cafes there (Well, Kemang known as one of hang-out spot in Jakarta).

Not such a good sight outside but actually it was cozy inside! :D

We saw Pizza Marzano besides Teras Kafe but we ended up at La Codefin. La Codefin was more like a food court where many restaurants and cafes gathered at one place. Again, we ate Hoka-Hoka Bento (Japanese Fast Food that we ate at Saturday night), although there were so many variety of foods.

Sneak peak of La Codefin, I like that place!

I found an outlet of pirated DVDs at La Codefin, tons of DVD inside!

Glad I got another Sour Sally Yoghurt outlet at La Codefin ;)

After that, we went to Senopati, Korean Market for exact. If you go to Senopati, you'll see at least one Korean shop every block. We visited Mu Gung Hwa Yutong (무궁화 유통). In Korean, Yutong means distributor, Mu Gung Hwa is the name of the shop means hibiscus flower. Anyway, Mu Gung Hwa sells original products from Korea, like foods, stationeries, books, etc. You could find a Hanguk Sikdang (한국 식당), it means Korean Restaurant, which I never try, but my Sonsaengnim (teacher) said that Kimbab there is awesome. Well, I had no curiousity at all ha ha ha :D I bought Chodeungukeo Sajeon (초등국어사전) and my Dad picked a few fruits and snacks.

One big plastic full of snacks, Chocolate Pie is my favorite!

Chodeungukeo Sajeon, it's a Korean dictionary similar to Cambridge cost 41$

Old sajeon (dictionary) that I borrow from Sonsaengnim

Done, it was around 4 p.m we were going back home. We reached home at 5 p.m, had a slight rest, and out for supper. I ate noodles whereas my Dad and lil' sis ate Padang cusine. After finished my meal, we left to DVD outlet and bought some movies (Step Up 3D which my Dad recommended, Aftershock which I was dying to watch, Street Dance for my lil' sis).

Pirated Afterschok ;p

I ended my day with my Dad, watching Aftershock and chatting about China. How China this and how China that, my Dad just simply loves 'China' topic. Aftershock is a movie about earthquake in Tangshan, China. Good movie with a deep meaning but too bad, somehow I felt so bored in the middle till the end of movie.
