Me, In Their Eyes

There was an event held at my school, a kind of seminar, you know. The main theme was "Preparing Myself For Further Life". I have no intention to discuss it here because the seminar, despite of the weighty topic, however was boring -- yeah, at least for me. But honestly, I caught one interesting stuff. So, during the seminar, all of the 9 graders were divided into some groups. I was a 'Zebouth'er -- don't be confused, it's my group name, anyway! We did a thing, everyone got a piece of tiny-mini paper, and we should give that paper to others inside our group. And this 'others', must fill our paper with their thought about us -- owner of the paper. 2 positives and a negative comment. Well *long sigh with relief*, I was grateful for that I never be a kinda freak who wears a 'big-round-old school' glasses and awful braces -- no offense, please, people -- or else, be an it-girl who indeed acts mean towards others and have nothing inside brain except fashion plus hotties (to make this clear, you should watch 'school-theme' movies more often hahaha). I'm just...., a normal Angie, and that is that. During my junior high years, my friends accept and appreciate me as well. So thank God, at least my paper wouldn't contaminated by any terrible or weird comment that would make me cringe! Okay, let's check what they've said about me.

Start with negative ones -> Quite (I'm sure someone meant to say 'too quite'), lack of interaction, more to action (?), rarely socialize, quite (again), lack of social skill, prefer to be alone.

Positive ones -> Creative, good at novels analyzing, good at drawing, good at languages, artistic, good at entertainment thingies (pardon me?), calm, great scores at 'language' subjects, smart, diligent, often compose a story (who wrote this and how come you knew it?*slap-forehead*), nice, good at Korean, an expert reader of thick books (what the!? lol).

I want to say many thanks to my friends, no matter how bad or good the comments you've wrote, I really do appreciate this as a 'mirror' to make myself better! Wanna know something? Well you see, I've tried to be more chattery during last year actually, but somehow, please pray for the realization of a 'more-chattery-Angie' hahaha... That's it! Happy weekend, folks! *hugs and kisses*

I Have Nothing To Lose, Except One

This post is about my MGMP English Contest last Sunday. I woke up late, I still thought about 'oh-if-only-I-can-absent', and I wore a uniform with a pair of sandals to perform in that contest (Call me insane!?). But, here I should emphasize you all that, I'm not a type of child who love to be preoccupied with any various type of contests.

My speech script, which I made by myself

We went to the contest location (a government school) with this school bus

Between 30++ participants who joined speech section, I got number 26

Another representative from my school for speech section, Nadia :)

Another representatives, there were 24 people from my school through grade 7-9

Grace, Me, and Michelle

Nadia got 16th turn, so she performed before me, she's awesome!

Mine, Nadia took this pic

Time for honesty, I don't remember what I said during my speech :D I don't even remember the script I've made before. When it came to my turn, I walked to the front calmly without any expression or nervousness, I barely know what kind of feeling which dominated my mind at that time. I only recognized it as a 'semi-conscious' condition that I seldom experience, except in my meditation session (I meditate with brainwave music sometimes). And when I fully came from my semi-consciousness, my speech ended. I almost laugh that time, my mind was like 'What the heck I was talking about for my speech?'. No matter how hard I tried, I never remember -- until now -- my words in that speech lol. Today, I was told that I don't passed the contest, but it's okay, I have nothing to loss. Besides, this contest wasn't my desire and I've done my best. If only, I passed, I should face another stressing week (make a script all over again, practice it every night, sacrifice my Sunday, think about it in between my school tasks that weighty enough without addition of a contest). Even though, it's all a pure honest confession from me, I admit that I'm a bit disappointed too! Because I have one thing that I lost..., I lost a chance to make my parents proud of me, and that's a big matter :(

Party On School

Actually, this party was a part of Book-Week event that held during 17-20th of January 2011. Theme of the party was 'OLIVER TWIST' (which happened to be our main story for this year Book-Week event as I mentioned in the previous post) and the dress-code was 'BRITISH COSTUME' (High School and Junior High School department didn't really obey this dress-code, but I sense that Elementary students were too afraid to break the rule). We also had a luncheon with 3 menus, soup, porridge, and sausage. There were a sharing and quiz session too. Too bad, my group didn't win the quiz! Anyway, we did a charity as well, we contributed books to Sekolah Lentera Harapan.

Each student got a postcard, we could write something there and put it inside the book that we contributed

We were pretty confused with that postcard, what to write eh? :S

Cloudy morning, rain fell so hard around 9 AM :(

Another views of my school

My friend, Alicya, one of those who really wore a princess costume :->

Ilona, my bestie, who gave me a Crystal for Christmas :D

Our homeroom teacher distributed a new schedule, I didn't quite like our new schedule :(

I didn't eat any of that, no thank you (I hate porridge or soup, seemed so yuck)

Michelle, Sheilly, Licia, and Ira (See! Someone even appeared like MJ lol)

After luncheon, mostly we were rushing out directly to visit another class lol

Started from 11 AM until 12.10 PM, we had nothing to do. I was chattering with my homeroom teacher then walking along through school hallways because I finished 'Tales of Beedle The Bard' book by JK Rowling in the first session. Anyway, our school announced a new policy, every Friday in the last week of the month, we should wear Batik. Ah, I prefer for uniform actually, I love uniform as always :) Lastly, I wish you all here have a fun weekend! (I'm going to face a busy weekend with English Contest and stuffs, sigh).

Growing A Crystal

Hi, folks, just few days ahead before Christmas, I can't wait! Anyway, last night I opened my mysterious present that Ilona gave me (with her permission, I said that I can't open it on Christmas night because I'll be in Singapore and she told me that 'the present' is something that I may not bring to the airport, so I opened it last night). What was it?

A 'Believe' Crystal! I never try this :) Thanks my friend

I unpacked it with my little sister, Chelsea. We made the crystal together based on the instruction book. It was like a little experiment ha ha ha.

Boiled water, glass bottle, crystal powder pouch, crystal tablet, stick, cord lid, flax, wish card, and we were ready!

1. Place the stick inside, fill the glass bottle with boiled water up to the line marked on the stick

2. Add the crystal powder pouch

3. Stir until completely dissolved

4. Drop the crystal tablet

5. Place the cork lid on the bottle and store in a safe location :)

After 24 hours has passed, we should remove the cork lid and keep it in touch with air. The crystal will grow and reach maximum size in 12-15 days (don't close the bottle with the cork lid during this period). I will post my grown up crystal later, probably 2 more weeks :D

Few days ago, my friend asked me if I'm able to be a translator for her Korean novel. I said that maybe it'll be too hard for me to translate 300++ pages Korean novel. I usually translate Korean articles or sentences, but I never touch Korean novel. So I recommended her to my Sonsaengnim (teacher), after a few days passed, they made an agreement over it. Today I received the novel scripts from her via courier service (she lives in Jepara), I'll give it to my Sonsaengnim this evening.

The novel title is Tango by Gu Hye Seon

Few paragraphs

The author, do you know her? A Korean actress from Boys Before Flowers :)

Gu Hye Seon is my favorite actress. I like her since one and half years ago. I never stop stalking her until now ha ha ha. I knew she made a novel back to 2009 (they only sell it in Korea), I've been really curious about her novel since then. I had a little opportunity to read it this morning, I just read a few pages. I found new vocabularies and a hard grammar structure there. I'll have so many questions for Korean session tonight ha ha ha. Anyway, this will be my last post before I go to Singapore. Also, tonight will be the last session for my Korean lesson, Sonsaengnim will give birth to her second child in a few days (wish her luck), we will start our lesson again in the end of January.

Hiatus from 23 December 2010 up to 3 January 2011
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Bloggers.
 God Bless you all!

Yearbook Photo Session

Yeah, I had a yearbook photo session this evening, it was tiring, and no fun. But before I tell you more, I just want to talk about Christmas and Potluck Party celebration today in my school. Well, it's 16th December but we celebrated an early Christmas, I guess ha ha ha. I also received a box of food for lunch (I had no appetite and gave it to my driver). I brought 3 presents back home.

A new sketch book, Tupperware yellow cup, and mysterious present :P

I may not open the mysterious present from Ilona, my bestie, before 24th December. I don't know why, but I hope I can cope with my big curiosity because she hoped so.

Okay then, the photo session held on Jembatan Kota Intan (Kota Intan Bridge), Old Town, Jakarta. It started around 5.30 PM (we waited for the EO to come), but I arrived at 4 PM. Waiting for a long time successfully annoyed me!

Me! Recognize the Basketball headphone? I just bought it yesterday for IDR 85.000

We paid IDR 350.000 inside for 26 people include my homeroom teacher

The bridge, first time I saw it directly

Left to right, Felix, Wilson, and Steven. They were playing around and totally a LOL!

Everyone was busy with their make up and stuffs while I busy taking pictures

Cheers, I was the only one who didn't wear a dress. A dress for me, keep dreaming!

Miss Kris, our homeroom teacher

Ilona, my bestie. I'm tall like giraffe, poor her T_T

View of Old Town

I love this shot! Gals were posing together :)

Gurls! So dark when we took this pic, can you spot me!? (I was holding a white hat)

I arrived home at 7.15 PM. I still think about bunch of tasks. My latest job is to draw an illustration of 9B members for yearbook, sigh. I never able to escape from school tasks, for God sake, tomorrow will be the last day of school but I still get a task? Kidding me! You want me to do it during holiday? Joking me!

God bless me for doing this job! Amen

What A Day

Junior High department held a Friendship Day (actually today was the second session, first session of FD held on Monday when I skipped school as I mentioned before, I wasn't interested with Friendship-thingy), we had a lot of contests during first and second session of FD event. Indeed, I went to school this morning, just because I was a participant of Fashion Show contest (it was my responsibility as a participant to come and make my class win, I wouldn't skip this session for my class sake). My partners were Ilona and Sheilly as costume maker like me, plus Christopher and Vania as model. The chosen models would perform our 'costume-creation' on a small runaway. Funny. I didn't aim to make my model friends embarrassed with costumes that I would create, but I did embarrassed them when I (or Ilona for exact) chose a 'Christmas Theme'. We won third prize over 17 participated classes.

Made by Angie, Ilona, and Sheilly. Performed by Chris and Vania. We represented grade 9B and won third prize!

My favorite was grade 9E, they were awesome, too bad they didn't win cause of some criteria

FD photos by Irene

It was tiring, seriously, I didn't really enjoy that kind of event. I prefer studying inside class ha ha ha. Anyway, I still have a long list of insanities.

  • Secret Pal event from 8 until 15 December
  • Potluck and Christmas Party on 16 December
  • Yearbook photo session on 16 December evening
  • Book week on 17 January
  • I should make a drama script for Oliver Twist right before 17 January
  • Art hand-craft project

See the third dot, I will have a yearbook photo session on 16 December so today Ma brought me to the mal, we were shopping for outfits folks. I hate shopping, basically. I'm a tomboy (and nerd). I think a lot about books and knowledge, but I have no attention about fashion. Only emergency-alert which able to kick me out of my shell to shop. Well, at least I had a bonding-time with my Ma, thanks to this ridiculous photo session.

Take a sneak peek :P

Ruffle dress IDR 100.000, buy a cheap and simple one cause I will rarely wear it later

Silver oxford shoes IDR 210.000

Polka-dot wire bandana IDR 49.000

Skin-colored cotton socks IDR 27.000

Things I wouldn't forget to buy, books!

We also visited a Sushi and Japanese kiosk

Extremely yummy, a soft sweet peach jelly that I ordered

Ma bought a sushi set

What a day! I really tired now. I went back home at 10 PM from mal. I didn't have enough rest these days so I will sleep right away. Night people!
